Job Description Medix is currently partnered with a premier healthcare client to fill an opening for a Mammography Technologist travel clinician. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified professional to join a medical office setting and deliver essential diagnostic and screening services. As a Mammography Technologist , you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and contributing to early and accurate diagnosis. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience and is proficient in advanced mammography techniques. Location: White Plains Facility Type: Medical Office Start Date: As soon as available Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks Schedule: Ideally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday State License Needed: NYS RT License with Injection, ARRT (M) certification Pay: Competitive compensation packages and potential stipends are available, with detailed rate ranges and eligibility to be discussed directly with your dedicated Medix recruiter. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Prepares and positions the patient for mammography procedures. Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation, including explaining the purpose and procedures for breast self-examination. Imaging Technique: Moves imaging equipment into the specified position, determines exposure factors based on patient characteristics, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy. Radiation Safety: Practices meticulous radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to the patient and staff. Procedure Expertise: Capable of performing diagnostic and screening mammography , as well as Stereotactic biopsies . Image Processing: Processes and reviews images for proper identification and quality control before preparing them for reading by the radiologist or requesting physician. Equipment Maintenance: Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed. Performs Quality Assurance tests as required by the MQSA and assists with the MQSA inspection. Patient Volume: Expected to work with a patient/scan volume of approximately one patient every 20-30 minutes. Equipment Used: Experience with Royal Solutions, PACs (GE UV PACS HOLOGIC Mammo) is preferred. Prior experience on Hologic Dimensions equipment is strongly prferred.
