Job Description Medix is currently partnered with a premier healthcare client to fill an opening for a CT Technologist travel clinician starting ASAP to fill a 13 week opening at their medical office. They are looking for a experienced professional for openings at two distinct locations: one in Westchester and one in New York City. As a CT Technologist , you will be responsible for operating the computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce detailed cross-sectional radiographs of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, comfort, and accurate imaging required for diagnosis. Location: White Plains, NY and New York, NY (NYC) Facility Type: Medical Office Start Date: As soon as available Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks Pay: Competitive compensation packages and potential stipends are available, with detailed rate ranges and eligibility to be discussed directly with your dedicated Medix recruiter. State License Needed: NYS RT License with Injection Schedule/Shift: Hours Per Week: 40.0 Preferred Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Alternate Schedule: Will consider four 10-hour shifts (approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Key Responsibilities Patient Positioning: Position and immobilize the patient on the examining table using supportive devices to achieve a precise patient position, following protocols specified by the Radiologist. Contrast Administration: Administer contrast media intravenously and assist the Physician/Nurse in intravenous administration. System Operation: Enter technical data, such as type of scan requested, slice thickness, and scan time, into the computer. Scanning: Initiate the CT scanner to scan the designated anatomical area of the patient. Monitoring: Talk to the patient over the intercom system and observe the patient through the control room window to continuously monitor patient safety and comfort. Quality Assurance: View images of organs or tissue on the video display screen to ensure the quality of pictures. Perform daily and weekly Quality Assurance checks and evaluate radiographs, video tape, and computer-generated information for technical quality. Patient Volume: Expected to work with a patient/scan volume of approximately one patient every 20-30 minutes. Equipment Used: Experience with Royal Solutions and PACs (GE UV PACS) is preferred.
