Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours (Monday to Friday, 3 PM - 11:30 PM, minimal call) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: WA state DOH imaging license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT registered required Must-Have: One year experience preferred, fast-paced hospital experience preferred Description: This position involves working in a radiology department. The candidate will perform portable X-rays and X-rays in the department, as well as in the emergency department. The total number of scans performed can vary, averaging between 20-50 per day. The department is equipped with 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portables, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms. There is no requirement to float to other areas, as the role focuses solely on X-ray procedures. The candidate will not be required to start IVs. In-house radiologists are present from 8 AM to 5 PM, with off-site reading available after hours. All scrubs will be provided by the facility. The position will involve working alongside other X-ray techs during the assigned shift. Department-specific orientation will be provided, including two hours with a manager and two weeks with staff. This role does not utilize registered radiology assistants, but transporters will be available during day and swing shifts. The department uses McKesson PACS and EPIC for EMR. The candidate must be able to meet the required certifications and licensing before starting. The facility has a cancellation policy allowing for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. The role is positioned within an acute care setting. The dress code consists of provided scrubs.
