Travel EP Tech / EP Lab Tech - $3,168 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00; 11:00 - 23:00) Experience: 1 year EP Lab clinical experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES/RCIS Must-Have: Experience with Cerner, Electrophysiology Lab, Hemodynamic monitoring, and Ablations Description: The Electrophysiology Tech will assist in the performance of electrophysiology studies and related procedures. The shift includes 36 hours of day and evening coverage with two days of late case coverage per week. The average daily caseload is about 18 patients. Candidates must have experience in inpatient and outpatient EKG settings. Understanding of obtaining vital signs and recognition of sinus node rhythms is essential. Experience with cardiac procedures such as ablations, cardioversion, and device implants and explants is preferred. Familiarity with Philips and Siemens X-ray machines as well as GE Micropacer is required. Knowledge of specialized equipment such as 3D mapping systems and various ultrasound technologies is preferred. Skills in accurate monitoring, angioplasty, and insertion/programming of AICDs are necessary. The candidate should be familiar with intensive electrophysiology environments and possess strong clinical competencies.
