Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $3,141 per week in Monterey, CA

The Speech Language Pathologist applies evidence, knowledge, and skills to positively affect swallowing, cognitive and expressive skills, and life satisfaction of patients of all ages who have impairments resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The Speech Language Pathologist is qualified to diagnose, prognose, prescribe for, and remediate speech and/or language and/or orofacial myofunction disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist interacts and collaborates with a variety of professionals involved in patient care. Experience with patient populations that include cognitive and/or swallowing disorders is preferred. A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology is required, and a Doctorate degree is preferred. The facility is smoke-free, and drug reports must have a negative result for nicotine/cotinine. If tested positive, the candidate must provide review if prescribed a nicotine patch. Contracts will be canceled for positive nicotine/cotinine results without legitimate reasons. The position guarantees 40 hours per week, with two weekends per month, typically every other weekend. Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel one shift every two-week payroll period, with specified limits per assignment duration. Charting is conducted using EPIC.
