Weekly Pay Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home, Mound City, MO Role Overview: - Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in SNF residents. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence and quality of life. - Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive evaluations of residents with communication and swallowing issues. - Create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessments and physician orders. - Deliver direct therapy addressing communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, and swallowing safety. - Conduct and interpret clinical/instrumental swallow assessments; recommend diet modifications. - Document all evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge summaries per regulations. - Educate residents, families, and staff about therapy plans, communication strategies, and safe swallowing. - Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings, contributing to resident-centered goals. - Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. - Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory standards. - Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFYs) and/or SLP Assistants (SLPAs) as applicable. Qualifications: - Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. - Current state SLP license. - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or CFY status with supervision. - Preferred: Experience in SNF or geriatric settings. - Strong evaluation and treatment skills in dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic, and communication disorders. - Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Work Environment: - Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care setting. - Involves standing, assisting residents, and interacting with individuals with complex medical conditions. - Collaborative, team-oriented workplace.
