Job Description & Requirements Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech) StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D Pay Rate: $2154.00 - $2240.00 The CT/X-ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by radiologist governing and professional bodies. Essential Functions: · Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray. · Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images with CT Room. · Able to adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition. · Adjust patient positioning in order to acquire the best images based on anatomical structures. Adjust table and radiation beam to minimize radiation exposure to maximum patient protection (ALARA). · Process images in PACS for the Radiologist. · Complete exams per Radiologist protocols. · Document, charge, and process with electronic medical records. · Schedule patients for appointments in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor. · Inform and assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams. · Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety. · Ensure that exams are completed in timely and correct manner. · Provide Customer Service to patients, and staff. Minimum Qualifications: · Required Credential: R.T.(R)(ARRT) · Preferred Experience: 1 year experience working as a CT or X-Ray technologist. Technical Skills: Demonstrates skills and behaviors indicative of an adequate working knowledge of and clinical proficiency in radiographic procedures, principles of radiation physics, and human anatomy and physiology.
