Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist, CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4-10 hours per day M-F Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week with rotation of weekends and call Experience: Minimum 1 year experience working as a CT and X-Ray technologist License: R.T.(R)(ARRT) Certifications: Required Credential Must-Have: - Demonstrates skills and behaviors indicative of an adequate working knowledge of and clinical proficiency in radiographic procedures, principles of radiation physics, and human anatomy and physiology. Description: The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards established by governing and professional bodies. Essential Functions: Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray. Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images with CT Room. Adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition. Adjust patient positioning to acquire the best images based on anatomical structures. Adjust table and radiation beam to minimize radiation exposure for maximum patient protection. Process images in PACS for the Radiologist. Complete exams per Radiologist protocols. Document, charge, and process with electronic medical records. Schedule patients for appointments in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor. Inform and assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams. Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety. Ensure that exams are completed in a timely and correct manner. Provide customer service to patients and staff.
