Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Tuesday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Client Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in the State of New York. Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. Must-Have: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School. Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, the Clinical Specialist, the Manager, and the Radiologist. The Technologist assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced trauma and academic environment. They utilize their specific modality to create diagnostic images and ensure patients have a safe and positive experience. Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology evolves. They perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT-guided procedures. The Technologist practices and enforces radiation safety measures as per regulatory standards.
