Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday-Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Client Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in New York Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Must-Have: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Description: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced environment. The Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience. Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology changes for both themselves and others. In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, Technologists perform CT exams on outpatients and inpatients. They also work with research patients and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists practice and enforce radiation safety measures as mandated. No on-call responsibilities are required for this position.
