Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - $2,040 per week in Bismarck, ND

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Call Hours per Shift: 10 hours, guaranteed 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR License: Required Certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP Must-Have: Must have 2 years of CVOR experience. Must be able to first scrub. Must be willing to cross-train into general OR if CV volumes are low. Must be willing to float as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours. Must be willing to work holidays and on-call shifts. Description: This position is for a Surgical Tech specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room procedures. The unit has two CVOR suites with an average of 1-3 cases per day. The cases performed include open hearts (CABG, valves, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, convergent procedures, AAA repairs, carotid surgeries, ION robotic cases, ECMO, and Impella 5.5. Staff are expected to assist in floating to other departments and may cross-train for ortho or general cases if necessary. A Charge Nurse is present on all shifts. Weeknight call requirements include 3-4 times per week, and weekend call is required every other to every third weekend. The call response time is 15 minutes, with a sleep room available. The department promotes a family atmosphere and requires employees to be flexible with scheduling. Additional orientation will be based on recent heart experience.
