Title: Inpatient Pharmacist Type: Contract (26 Weeks) Location: Lubbock, TX 79410 Schedule: Night Shift – 3x10-Hour (22:00 - 08:00) Night Shift – 4x10-Hour (22:00 - 08:00) Block Schedules: Yes Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year of acute care pharmacy experience and demonstrate a strong understanding of inpatient medication management, dosing strategies, and sterile compounding techniques. The position is available for a 26-week contract , with block scheduling available during the night shift . Responsibilities: Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a hospital setting Compound IV, chemotherapy, and hazardous drugs following safety protocols Perform clinical dosing, including anticoagulant and renal dosing Monitor and manage pharmacotherapy for a wide range of medical problems Utilize Epic charting system to document and manage medication records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient care Apply knowledge of therapeutic drug monitoring, especially with high-risk and pediatric patients Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations Key Requirements: Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience Charting System: Epic (Required) Education: PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) – Preferred Must hold active Pharmacist license (RPh) Experience: Previous charge experience: Not required Travel experience: Not required Teaching, LTAC, Trauma, and Community Hospital experience: Not required but beneficial License & Certifications: BLS – Required PharmD – Preferred RPh – Required BCPS – Preferred IV Certification – Required Compounding Certification – Required Chemo/Hazardous Drug Certification – Preferred
