Provides work leadership and serves as a technical resource to staff. Assures staff competence in all procedures. Ensures quality service and patient care in the department. Performs duties of a CT Technologist. Typical physical demands include: Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking. Constantly reaching above, at, and below shoulder level. Involves repetitive arm/hand motions and frequent gripping of objects. Frequent standing, walking, twisting body, and stooping/bending. Lifting and carrying weights from 5 pounds to 30 pounds. Pushing/pulling weight of up to 30 pounds of force. Static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Occasional sitting, kneeling, walking on uneven ground, squatting, and climbing stairs. Working conditions involve exposure to: Both inside and outside environmental conditions. Cold temperatures due to air conditioning. Noise and vibration from film processors. Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation. Minimum qualifications include: Three years of experience as a CT Technologist. Demonstrated knowledge of CT safety operations and capabilities. Knowledge of quality assurance activities as applied to CT imaging. Prior leadership experience preferred.
