Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathologists Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year of SLP experience required License: Missouri State License required Certifications: CCC certified SLP required Must-Have: LTC or Rehab experience required Description: Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Assesses patients’ progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modifies services in relation to patient evaluation and makes referrals according to outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system. Maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings. Engages in facility and company required training, in-services, and conferences. Able to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Supervises and supports CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists. Adheres to required practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
