Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathologists Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours M-F Hours per Shift: Flexible times as long as they are communicated consistently Experience: 1 year of SLP experience required, LTC or Rehab experience required License: Missouri State License required Certifications: CCC certified SLP required Must-Have: New grads are okay as long as they have Level II experience and not just Level I observation experience Description: Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develops appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modifies services in relation to patient evaluation and makes referrals based on outcomes. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Participates in required meetings, including but not limited to patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in company-required training, in-services, and conferences. Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists. Adheres to required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
