Job Title: Client-Fetal Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - Women's Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (Monday-Thursday), 4 Hours (Friday) Experience: 2 years License: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - High Risk Ultrasound Experience Required - Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or Graduate of Accredited Sonography Program Description: In the Client-Fetal Medicine Sonographer role, you will conduct diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters. This includes first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments. You will also perform detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound. You will work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high-quality independent fetal imaging center. This role allows you to provide excellent ultrasound service while improving and maintaining your ultrasound skills. Additional certifications may be obtained if needed. Protocols adhere to standards established by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). Responsibilities include checking equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notifying appropriate personnel for repairs. You will perform pertinent duties in the best interest of patients, personnel, and the facility as assigned. You will participate in the modality specific QA/QC program and ensure compliance with regulations. Evaluating patients’ history and symptoms for the procedures clinical criteria is essential. You must communicate with patients clearly and in a professional manner. Instructing and communicating with patients and/or their families regarding the tests to be performed is required. You will assess the patient’s ability to tolerate the exam. Maintaining current knowledge, continued education, and skills to provide appropriate care for all age groups is necessary. You will assist the physician as needed in performing additional imaging or biopsy procedures. Consistently modeling and exhibiting proficiency in Client-Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technician competencies is expected. Using technical knowledge and skills, you will perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with age-specific criteria. You must complete exam charges and image documentation and forward them to the radiologist in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
