Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Catheterization Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience required License: State license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS, ARRT Must-Have: - RCIS or AART certification - California license - Experience scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures - Call requirement of 8-12 call shifts per month - One weekend of call required per month Description: The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for assisting in Cath Lab procedures. This includes performing coronary angiograms with PCI, pacemaker insertions, and peripheral aortograms. The candidate must demonstrate accurate monitoring and competent technical skills. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and equipment maintenance is essential. The position entails working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ability to perform EKG lead placement and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias is required. Experience with angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and diagnostic catheterizations is preferred. Familiarity with advanced procedures like transcatheter aortic valve implantation/replacement is advantageous. Candidates should have strong skills in stocking supplies and maintaining a sterile field. The Cath Lab Tech must demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
