Travel Mammography Tech - $2,800 per week in Edmonds, WA

Job Title: Mammography Tech (Travel) City: Edmonds State : WA Job Type : Travel Discipline: Allied Specialty : Mammography Tech Facility Setting: Short Term Acute Care Accepting Locals per Radius Rule?: Yes Contract Length: 13 weeks Shifts: Days Shift Details: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00) Weekly Schedule: 40 Hours Certifications: NEED ACTIVE WA LIC Certifications (REQUIRED): BLS, ARRT Mandatory Experience: 1 Yr Exp, 2 years of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred. NEED ACTIVE WA LIC Must be open to floating to other campuses Proficiency in diagnostic and screening mammograms. Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics All techs new to department have 25 exams observed by another tech before working on own Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. 3-D Mammography Diagnostic Mammograms Fine Needle Aspirations Needle Localizations Screening Mammograms Stereotactic Biopsy Ability to accurately produce high quality diagnostic mammographic images. Ability to perform, in conjunction with the physician staff, related special procedures. Working knowledge of breast anatomy, proper radiographic exposure factors and procedures for mandated quality control activities.
