Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $236 per week in Sacramento, CA

Weekly Pay $42.30/hour - PTA at UC Davis Health Rehab Hospital, CA - Provide direct physical therapy services to adult inpatients under supervision of licensed Physical Therapists. - Implement individualized care plans and therapeutic exercises for patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and traumatic injuries. - Assist patients with mobility training, gait therapy, balance, and strength-building activities. - Monitor and document patient progress using Cerner EHR; communicate changes to supervising PTs. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient recovery and independence. - Maintain a safe, clean, and motivating therapy environment. - Work on a per diem, flexible schedule (day shift; weekend availability). - No call or float requirements. - Treat 4 5 patients daily, with an expectation of 6 hours of treatment per day. - Serve a 52-bed inpatient acute rehab unit, primarily treating TBI, SCI, and orthopedic trauma cases. - Must have an active California PTA license and at least 2 years experience in acute care or inpatient rehab. - Preferred: Current BLS certification and proficiency with Cerner EMR. - Ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, communicates well, and is committed to evidence-based practice.
