Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technician Specialty: Nuclear Imaging Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; will accept travelers with 1 year of experience. License: State license required Certifications: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required, Dosimeter required Must-Have: Experience with DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CTs Description: As soon as possible start needed. The Traveler will perform PET CTs in the afternoon. This will help eliminate the existing PET CT backlog. Continuity of patient care will be maintained. This is a 12-week traveler assignment with 32 hours per week. The schedule consists of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The facility has 3 nuclear medicine imaging rooms that include a gamma camera and a stress room. Experience with the above scans is required. Support on the unit includes a lead technician and 2 technicians per shift. Internal transport and a Radiologist are available on-site. The technology and equipment used include a Siemens dual head camera and GE IQ PET CT. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is Cerner, and PACS uses Enterprise Imaging AGFA. Technicians will rotate start times between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. Shifts may vary between 8 to 10 hours depending on the schedule for the day. Scrubs should be any solid color as long as they are professional. Holiday expectations are minimal, and no weekends or call are required.
