Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,777 per week in Charleston, SC

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: 1 year preferred License: State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography Certifications: 1. BLS 2. NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) 3. NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or (CT) Must-Have: Must provide a radiation badge. Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work 5x8 hours with varying start times between 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM and ending times between 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This position does not require on-call duties. The unit performs PET CT scans on Saturdays once a month, and the technologist may be required to work one Saturday every four weeks based on unit needs. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Experience in Level 1 and Level 2 trauma is preferred. Experience with Siemens equipment/scan systems is required. Travelers are expected to follow all safety protocols related to radioactive materials. Prior experience in a teaching hospital is advantageous. The technologist will work with a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role involves handling various nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to HIDA scans, Muga scans, and PET scans. Candidates must be prepared to comply with emergency response team assignments during hurricane season. During this period, all employees and contractors may be required to respond to emergencies as needed.
