Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Cybersecurity Architect to guide our engineering and business teams in adopting essential cybersecurity guidelines. In this role, you will collaborate directly with engineering teams, providing crucial architectural advice and supporting the implementation of cybersecurity controls.
Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate and promote cybersecurity guidelines effectively, ensuring their adoption across engineering and business teams.
- Work closely with engineering teams to provide ongoing advisory support on architecture decisions and cybersecurity control implementations.
- Participate in threat modeling to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks for products and enterprise tools.
- Offer cybersecurity architecture advice and consultation on major programs and solutions.
- Engage actively with cybersecurity peers to foster a cohesive cybersecurity department and share insights on business-specific activities.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to review existing systems, identify security gaps, and recommend enhancements.
- Participate in security events and incident responses, proposing solutions to prevent the recurrence of identified threats.
- Educate product and enterprise architects and engineers on cybersecurity best practices and standards.
- Partner with legal and security governance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual cybersecurity requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
- Experience designing, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure and services.
- Ability to clearly articulate cybersecurity objectives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills, written communication, and executive presentation capabilities.
- A collaborative spirit to foster productive relationships with key stakeholders and cybersecurity teams.
- Proven ability to evaluate risks and recommend actions based on their impact and likelihood.
- Familiarity with current cybersecurity architectures and concepts including zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DevSecOps.
- Experience utilizing Agile methodologies and initiating change in Fortune 1000 companies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and industry regulations guiding architectural requirements.
- Collaboration with AI agents in creating and assessing architectural artifacts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing cybersecurity standard methodologies across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, access controls, and security protocols.
- Experience with application security implementations and best practices.
- In-depth technology knowledge, including Python, .NET, Java, and cloud services.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understanding of cloud containers and serverless platforms.
- Experience in critical infrastructure industries (telecommunications, financial services, etc.).
- Experience with a Big Four consulting firm or in a Fortune 500 company.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS, or CISM.
Compensation: The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $119,600.00 to $199,400.00, depending on various factors. Additional incentive programs may also be available.
