Our client seeks a Senior Credit Officer in Louisville, KY. The role involves overseeing the bank’s loan portfolio, managing credit risk, and developing policies for extending credit to customers, ensuring alignment with company goals. The position offers a salary of up to $115K, plus bonus and benefits. Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining policies to deliver Commercial Credit Products and improve loan portfolio quality. Fostering a strong credit culture. Supporting commercial loan portfolio growth and yield targets. Overseeing credit approval processes aligned with risk appetite and growth objectives. Managing credit underwriting and portfolio activities. Formulating and reviewing lending policies. Collaborating with executives on portfolio health, policy, business development, and staff management. Participating in long-range planning as part of top management. Adhering to BSA and all bank policies. Performing additional duties as assigned. Who Are You?

You bring the following skills and experience: B.S. / B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. At least five years of commercial/real estate/business lending experience, preferably in banking. Experience in credit risk analytics, risk management, credit policy development, underwriting standards, and risk scorecards. Extensive knowledge in C&I and commercial real estate lending, credit risk management, and approval processes. Expertise in loan structuring, administration, and business development. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Leadership and management experience. Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and professional reliability.
