This Baseball Performance Coach should have the ability to step in on day 1 and work with any client. D1 Coaches train scholastic athletes ages 6-18 and adult athletes ages 18-80. D1 coaches lead team training for high school select and collegiate teams. D1 coaches also provide 1-on-1 and small group training for adult, scholastic, and professional athletes.
The person we hire will be a high-energy and strong character individual with a relentless work ethic. Essential attributes of our Baseball Performance Coach will include: Intellectual Firepower, High Values, Passion for Work, and Humility
Qualifications:
- MUST: CSCS, SCCC, NASM, ISSA, or CPT certification required
- Athletic/Baseball Background
- 1+ year of coaching
- Believes they can be the best coach on staff
- Extensive knowledge of Strength & Conditioning
- Ability to program for 1 on 1 clients
- Positive and energetic personality with a “can do” attitude
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree from an accredited university (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or related field)
- Familiar with the local community; existing relationships with schools, coaches, and sports teams
- Experience in group, 1:1, small group, and team training settings
Key Skills Required For Position:
- CHARACTER. This coach must have world class character & align with our core values.
- COACH. This coach should be able to step in on day 1 & work with anyone.
- TEAM PLAYER. At D1 Training we do not let coaches “pick” who they work with.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and providing customized personal training programs for individual clients and small groups
- Implementing training programs for youth small groups and teams as assigned
- Ensuring safe and effective use of equipment
- Motivating and building positive relationships with clients and facility members
- Participating in ongoing personal training growth opportunities and programs
- Obtaining and maintaining required certificates and licenses
- Various other duties as assigned
A Day In The Life Of A D1 Coach:
- You wake up, excited to help athletes accomplish their goals.
- You arrive at our state of the art facility, equipped with a world class weight room & indoor turf field.
- You have a few 1 on 1 clients to work with.
- You end the day with a scholastic team with ages 7-18 years old.
- You end the day with a message from a 1 on 1 client who lets you know that they just accomplished the goal that they set when you started training together 3 months earlier.
Compensation: $20-$40 an hour
Schedule: Flexible availability throughout the week, including nights and weekends, and at least 10-15 hours per week to commit to the position
