Interesse international Inc. is hiring: Production Supervisor in Madison

Japanese Manufacturing company is seeking a Production Specialist in Madison, AL.

Salary: $60K - $70K plus bonus $5-6K

1st Shift: 7am - 4pm

Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, positive working environment, capable of meeting customer production requirements in accordance with the company (Hoshin) vision.

Responsibilities

• Track teams' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards, with continuous monthly improvements in all areas
• Report out KPI in obeya meeting
• Maintain and foster a positive working environment for all Team Members, Customers, and Visitors as a Team One environment
• Implement effective countermeasures for any safety, quality, performance, or productivity issues
• Implement kaizens in assigned area(s) and promote continuous improvement (including new ideas, projects, and practices)
• Understand corporate and plant hoshin and take lead to achieve
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and practices by effective coaching
• Monitor safety and enforce safety protocol in all areas
• Oversee Assistant Manager, Expert, Supervisor, STL, TL performance
• Monitor training schedules/proficiency charts for daily processes and unusual conditions and ensure due dates are met
• Ensure TPM/PM (daily checks) on equipment are completed during shift, if required
• Approve/deny time off/PTO and follow outlined processes
• Administer any corrective actions and coaching of team members if needed
• Report any supplier issues to the company Management and Quality Leadership
• Review and disposition of any defects that occur internal or external
• Manage and lead investigation and countermeasure implementation/confirm effectiveness on time
• Investigate quality issues/robust countermeasure and implement countermeasure with effective confirmation
• Maintain all past countermeasures in place
• Manage shift startup on time and properly, shift handover, end of shift condition
• Support leading production quarterly progress meeting and summarize
• Manage internal audit implementation and respond to any problems
• Manage plan of on-the-job training, FL training, TL training, Delta S certification training plan and status
• Oversee and maintain 5S of assigned area(s)
• Address team member concerns/participate in team member investigations
• Fulfill other duties as required to ensure that Vuteq meets or exceeds customer expectations and needs

Job Qualifications

• Education: A 2-year degree or equivalent work experience is required
• Four or more years of background in Production Supervision and Control, preferably in an automotive environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results with efficiency and effectiveness
• Demonstrated ability to comply with and enforce policies, procedures, and practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of environmental ISO14001 preferred
• Ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork, an ability to communicate effectively with senior management, and a clear vision of what determines a successful product for the customer and for the company
