Japanese Automotive manufacturing company is seeking a Production Assistant Manager.
Location: Georgetown, KY
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 plus bonus $5,500+ Day Shift 7am - 4pm
Summary
Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production related activities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
- Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and profit goals.
- Implement cost-effective controls over capital expenditures, operating costs, manpower, wages, and salaries.
- Manage capital asset maintenance programs and processes.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance to meet production and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; oversee replacements and necessary adjustments.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Promote 5S practices, shop floor organization, and facility cleanliness.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and TS16949 standards.
- Support and comply with ISO14001 responsibilities and requirements.
- Consult with engineering personnel regarding machine and equipment modifications to improve production and product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum 1-2 years).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external contacts.
- Solid decision-making skills
