Japanese Automotive manufacturing company is seeking a Production Assistant Manager.

Location: Georgetown, KY
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 plus bonus $5,500+ Day Shift 7am - 4pm

Summary

Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production related activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
  • Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and profit goals.
  • Implement cost-effective controls over capital expenditures, operating costs, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Manage capital asset maintenance programs and processes.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance to meet production and quality standards.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; oversee replacements and necessary adjustments.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
  • Promote 5S practices, shop floor organization, and facility cleanliness.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and TS16949 standards.
  • Support and comply with ISO14001 responsibilities and requirements.
  • Consult with engineering personnel regarding machine and equipment modifications to improve production and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum 1-2 years).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external contacts.
  • Solid decision-making skills

Software Proficiency

  • Microsoft Excel (Basic formulas)
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
