Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Planner located in Totowa, NJ. The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules, planning daily production activities, and managing workflow to ensure efficiency. They will analyze data to forecast production needs, communicate schedules to team members, and collaborate with various departments to ensure continuous operation and timely product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules in alignment with company goals
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure timely production
  • Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Optimize resource allocation and workforce planning
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency
  • Prepare and present production reports to senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations research, or related area
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, logistics and materials handling in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • ERP experience required
  • Food / Beverage Industry Experience
  • Certifications in APICS CPSM, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing Competencies
  • Capability and flexibility of managing changing business needs and requirements
  • Proven record of applied critical thinking in a variety of situations
  • Taking calculated initiative to drive improvements; effective oral and written communications
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as working independently and self-directed
  • Process oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required
