As the Production Engineer, you will provide process and technical support to a unit within a manufacturing facility in the Precipitated Silica business. You will work with the Area Manager, Production Technician, and unit operators to maintain production and safety within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily unit operations and performance of the assigned production area, providing technical assistance.
- Support unit shutdowns and outages with technical input.
- Provide engineering support for multiple plant capital projects from conception through startup. Prepare Scope of Work for new capital projects. Act as Project Sponsor on specific projects.
- Apply technical knowledge to develop and implement process and capital improvements for the long-term success of the operating unit.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects focusing on cost reduction, production efficiency, energy savings, and waste minimization.
- Contribute to the production, capital, and operating expense budgets.
- Collaborate with onsite and offsite teams including Maintenance/Reliability, Instrumentation, Electrical & Controls (I&E), Accounting, Commercial Logistics, and Vendors.
- Track inputs for equipment improvements related to Equipment Availability/Reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Understand energy requirements for the production unit to support sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical preferred).
- 0 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing/operations or process engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in project planning, execution, and budgeting is beneficial but not required.
