#### Production CoordinatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Coordinator to support scheduling, tracking, and execution of manufacturing work orders across the shop floor. This role serves as a critical link between planning, production, and shop supervision—ensuring that parts are where they need to be, jobs are progressing as planned, and delivery timelines are met. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and scheduling workflows.**Key Responsibilities*** Coordinate with Production Planning, Supervisors, and Operators to ensure manufacturing jobs are scheduled and progressing on time* Track in-process parts across departments and proactively identify delays or bottlenecks* Update production tracking dashboards, spreadsheets, and digital whiteboards throughout the day* Communicate job priority changes, rescheduling needs, and material readiness across departments* Monitor job travelers, work orders, and part locations to ensure smooth production flow* Assist with issuing jobs to the floor and coordinating shift hand-offs or part movement between operations* Gather real-time production data and report out on progress, completion status, and gaps* Support execution of first articles, tooling setup coordination, and other pre-run requirements* Serve as a communication hub between departments including machining, spin, forge, and quality* Maintain documentation, logs, and records related to production timelines and part status* Participate in daily production meetings and assist with problem-solving or escalations as needed**Qualifications*** 3 + years of experience in a manufacturing or production coordination role preferred* Understanding of production workflows, job travelers, and scheduling in a shop floor environment* Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to keep multiple priorities moving* Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging with operators and supervisors* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP-based job tracking systems* High attention to detail and ability to document and report progress clearly* Self-motivated, dependable, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced settingHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical coursework a plusAt AST, we believe in fostering a work environment where employees can thrive both personally and professionally.
