Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer in our Manufacturing Production team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative production processes to ensure the efficency, quality and safety of our production of engineered to order centrifugal compressors. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive the optimization of manufacturing layouts, enhance production operations, and ensure compliance with regulations. You will report to the Manufacturing Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Technical & Process Expertise: Provide technical support and training in welding and painting process. Ensure Compliance with welding codes and hazardous materials reporting. Develop and implement paint/coating processes and support welder testing.
  • Engineering & Design Collaboration: Participate in design reviews and customer inspections. Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure manufacturing compatibility. Review customer specifications and support documentation of standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean principles (Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S) to improve efficiency. Contribute to companywide process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Project & Investment Support: Prepare capital investment proposals and manage approved budgets.
  • Leadership & Operational Support: Provide direction to manufacturing teams and support daily operations.

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar engineering discipline.
  • You have at least one year of using an ERP system and MS Office software.
  • You have knowledge of lean manufacturing and agile engineering principles.
  • You have knowledge of welding and painting processes.

Location

On-Site: This role requires you to work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Voorheesville NY, United States (US). You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
