Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Meat Clerk - # 33 Fresno.

What You’ll Do

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with needs in the meat department.
• Maintain clean shelves and display cases; clean, fill, and rotate Meat Wrap displays.
• Work with customers on special orders and collaborate with the Meat Cutter to determine items to be cut.
• Lift up to 50 lbs., and stand, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods as required.

What You’ll Bring

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Additional lifting requirements: regular up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (nice to have).
• Retail Management Certificate (nice to have).

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous customer service. The role involves assisting customers, cleaning shelves and displays, and supporting the Meat Cutter with item preparation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and endure bending, standing, and kneeling for extended periods.

Requirements and Certifications

• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
• Qualified applicants should be able to perform essential physical tasks common to a fast-paced grocery environment.
