Dental Hygienist Job at Sayers Dental, PC in Sterling

We are looking for a Colorado licensed dental hygienist to join our team. The days we are looking to fill are Wednesday & Thursday with the option of Monday-Thursday. Patient hours are 8am-5pm. We are a state-of-art general dentist office located in Sterling, CO.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly, team oriented and can provide exceptional patient care. Previous dental hygiene experience, and digital x-ray experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Conduct medical imaging procedures and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records in systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring all relevant dental terminology is utilized correctly.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and infection control measures.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control protocols.
• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Experience in assisting during dental procedures is advantageous.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills for documentation review and patient record management.
