Travel RN Job Details

• Facility Type: Long Term Care (LTC) Facility
• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Start Date: October 16, 2025
• End Date: January 15, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Schedule: Determined by facility
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1740–$1860

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications

• Active and current Michigan RN license
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) settings
• At least 1 completed travel RN assignment
• COVID-19 vaccination strongly preferred (mask required if declined)
• Recent RN skills checklist (within 1 year)
• 2 supervisory references from the past 2 years
• Complete work history with explanations for any gaps over 3 months
• Flexible scheduling required; blocked scheduling not permitted
• Limited local housing options – plan accordingly for your Michigan travel nursing job

Travel RN Responsibilities – Long Term Care

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with facility and nursing policies
• Assist physicians during resident treatments and examinations
• Monitor, record, and report residents’ conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments
• Coordinate and delegate duties to nursing staff to ensure optimal resident care
• Consult with Shift Supervisor regarding nursing issues and policy interpretation
• Participate in orientation, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel
• Maintain accurate records for admissions, discharges, transfers, and incidents
• Participate in care planning and complete comprehensive nursing assessments
• Uphold resident confidentiality and Resident’s Rights
• Attend facility in-services and maintain all required educational/licensure standards
