Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Night Shift – Columbus, Ohio. - Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720 - $1770
- Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Unit Size: 14 beds
- Orientation: 76 hours
ER RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
- Active RN license – compact or Ohio state license required at submission
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Ability to float between ICC and ED as needed
- Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
- Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process (to be completed promptly upon contract signing)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent and non-urgent conditions (e.g., sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, uncontrolled pain, anemia, nausea, vomiting, dehydration)
- Administer blood products, manage central lines, and perform phlebotomy
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
- Initiate and maintain IVs, administer emergency medications, and care for multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Utilize PCA pumps and CPAP/BiPAP devices as needed
- Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV therapy, PT/OT, respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, rapid response)
- Float between ICC and ED units to support patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely EPIC documentation
