RN Supervisor – Job Details

  • Location: Salem, Massachusetts 01970
  • Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
  • Duration: 13 weeks (November 2, 2025 – January 31, 2026)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shifts: Rotating schedule: 3x8 hour shifts and 1x12 hour shift per week. Includes 7:00am–7:00pm on weekends, 3:00pm–11:00pm and 11:00pm–7:00am during the week. Rotating days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend.
  • Setting: Nursing Administration / Clinical Supervision
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,910 - $3,120 per week

RN Supervisor Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active and unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of advanced Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
  • Proficient in reading Tele Strips and performing Cardiac Drips (including titration)
  • Preferred: Critical care nursing experience
  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction

RN Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, operational, and clinical supervision for nursing services across all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Serve as a clinical resource for patient care and nursing services
  • Act as a patient care representative, collaborating with medical staff, ancillary support, and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Notify Administrator-On-Call regarding serious incidents, issues, or disasters
  • Supervise patient care by ensuring adherence to established nursing practices and standards
  • Offer direction and guidance to facilitate the nursing process and quality care
  • Implement appropriate interventions in situations such as patient deterioration, disruptive behavior, or equipment malfunctions
  • Conduct rounds in all patient care areas, focusing on high-acuity patients and accurate shift reporting
  • Coordinate with support services, emergency, admitting, and clinical teams to address patient care and environmental needs during off-shifts
  • Address and document patient or family concerns, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution
