ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Massachusetts ICU nursing jobs)
- Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract (Start: 10/19/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shifts: Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights & Every Other Weekend (12-hour shifts)
- Floating: Required to Medical/Surgical units as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020
ICU RN Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Minimum 3 years of general ICU nursing experience
- At least 2 years of continuous MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) experience in one location
- Telemetry competency—must be able to read and interpret tele strips
- Proven experience caring for high acuity patients (substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, cardiogenic shock)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, managing up to 4-5 patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for accurate patient assessment
- Collaborate with attending physicians and residents available 24/7
- Maintain precise documentation using EPIC EMR system
- Comply with all hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Participate in rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend
