Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Location: State College, PA 16801
• Setting: Endoscopy / Perioperative Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Start Date: October 1, 2025
• End Date: December 31, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: No call required
• Weekends: No weekends
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2050

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy RN or Perioperative nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Proficient IV therapy skills and knowledge of diagnostic procedures (labs, radiology, EKG)
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills

Endoscopy Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-procedural care to endoscopy patients
• Assess and address patients’ physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
• Serve as a patient advocate and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately
• Document patient care in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care instructions
• Utilize clinical supplies and resources efficiently while maintaining high standards of nursing care
• Assist with housekeeping duties to support patient flow as needed
• Float to other perioperative areas and provide support to staff as required
• Perform additional RN duties as assigned to support the endoscopy unit
