ER RN Job Details – State College, PA

• Location: State College, PA 16801 (Central Pennsylvania)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Start Date: September 30, 2025
• End Date: December 30, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1800

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Valid NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated emotional resilience and professionalism in high-pressure clinical settings

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to patients from neonate to geriatric populations following ENA standards
• Perform triage and prioritize emergency care based on patient acuity and department flow
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment
• Accurately document patient history, chief complaints, and care provided in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and referrals
• Respond to medical emergencies and manage complications according to established protocols
• Maintain readiness of emergency supplies and equipment
• Promote effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team
