The Forklift Operator/Material Handler position involves operating a forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies, and materials efficiently and safely. The role includes operating various equipment such as forklifts, booms, scoops, lift beams, swivel hooks, fork-grapples, clamps, and elevating platforms, and may also require performing operator duties.

Your Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
2 to 3 years of experience safely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
Valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
Ability to pick up and deliver parts and materials between production lines, shipping/receiving, and the warehouse.

Other Skills and Abilities

Strong analysis, problem-solving, process, and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with good decision-making skills.
Ability to complete forklift training, including written and driving tests, and obtain a forklift license.
Must maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license.
