Forklift Operator (Houston, TX) at FCC Environmental Services

Join FCC Environmental Services to support the MRF Operations team. This role is for a forklift driver with at least 1 year of experience. Responsibilities include operating and managing industrial trucks to load, move, and unload materials to and from storage areas, machines, loading docks, and railroad cars or storage facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage forklifts and other power equipment to load, upload, move, and position materials.
• Prepare and verify product for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and types are loaded.
• Maintain accurate records for inventory and reporting.
• Comply with OSHA standards and maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and pass forklift driving tests as required.
• Verify load accuracy, check load count, stability, and report variances as necessary.
• Ensure proper maintenance of facilities, equipment, and materials.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility in hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years of verifiable forklift experience; ability to load, move, and position materials using various forklifts.
• Certification: Valid (non-expired) forklift certification.
• Competencies: Attention to detail, organization, problem solving, and strong communication skills.
• Physical/Work Requirements: Able to work flexible hours and maintain safety and quality standards.
