Base pay range: $31.43/hr - $48.08/hr

Overview

Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Provides leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction. Ensures that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values.

This position may be required to work on multiple campuses and shifts. The role includes initial incident response, interviewing and investigations, and requires the ability to perform all duties of a Security Officer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the workflow and balance of work in the Security Department.
• Provide leadership, direction, and a teamwork-oriented environment to meet service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Perform initial incident response, interviews, and investigations as part of duties.
• May work on multiple campuses and shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent, or two years of related training and experience, preferably in healthcare security.
• FEMA Level 100 or higher certification required upon hire.
• Driving may be necessary; comply with state laws and requirements for driving. Must provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety.
• Two years of related experience and/or training in Healthcare Security and Safety preferred.
