Overview
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager for an established engineering firm in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, permanent onsite position. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations across finance, HR, administration, and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee firm finances, banking, and financial compliance
- Manage accounting: AP/AR, cash flow, reconciliations, and statements
- Handle vendor negotiations and financial certifications
- Ensure compliance with employment laws
- Support hiring, onboarding, payroll, and benefits
- Manage insurance (liability, health, workers’ comp, etc.)
- Review contracts and support administrative workflows
- Develop and implement policies to enhance efficiency
- Oversee office equipment, IT systems, and service providers
- Manage building maintenance and vendor coordination for cleaning, landscaping, etc.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Deltek Vision, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat strongly preferred
- Previous experience in engineering industry a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Monday to Friday (standard business hours)
