CEC MOTOR & UTILITY SERVICES, LLC is hiring: Utility Worker in Town of Florida

CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Utility Worker at our Service Center in Palmetto, FL. The ideal candidate will be from the water, sewer, and lift station/utility construction industry, have extensive knowledge of underground utility construction, and lift station rehabilitation.

Hours:

• Monday - Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Pay Frequency:

• Weekly

FLSA Status:

• Non-Exempt

Work Environment:

• Work is primarily performed outdoors. Conditions can include exposure to inclement weather, working next to open wet wells, public roadways, lift stations, manholes, trenches, sewage, and various chemicals. Employees may also be exposed to direct sunlight, dampness, noise, heavy machinery, and mechanical and electrical equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move items weighing up to 65 pounds regularly, traverse rough terrain, and work in or over water/wastewater, heights, or confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in various physical positions, including sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving.

Reporting Relationships:

• The Utility Worker reports to the Utilities Manager.

Note: This position requires drug, background, and motor vehicle record screening.

Compensation: $27 - $32 hourly
