Base pay range
$38,000.00/yr - $45,800.00/yr
Responsibilities
The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The receptionist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support tasks. Duties include operating a switchboard or multi-line phone, maintaining long distance call logs, taking and distributing messages, greeting visitors, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing visitors to appropriate offices or staff. Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as location, hours of operation, phone numbers and email addresses. Additional responsibilities may include booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and receiving/sending courier packages. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and work is performed under close supervision and/or within established policies and guidelines with minimal deviation.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
- Welcomes patients and visitors
- Assists patients, answering patients' questions
- Appointment scheduling
- Verification of insurances
- Collecting patient charges
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in a Medical Office Setting
- Prior experience working Front Desk at a Medical Office
- Experience with eClinicalWorks
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
