Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety leader, prioritizing safety in all responsibilities. Collaborate with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain policies and programs ensuring a safe working environment. Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standards, and housekeeping practices.
- Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure the production of company products at the highest quality and lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements.
- Ensure the training of new and current employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards for quality, quantity, safety, and ISO/TS compliance.
- Participate in planning meetings, recommending space, personnel, and equipment requirements. Be involved in the hiring process.
- Ensure adherence to ISO/TS procedures and requirements, and participate in ISO/TS planning sessions.
- Recommend preventative maintenance procedures and plan the repair of machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Continuously evaluate processes and methods, recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, utilization of personnel, and product quality.
- Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work issues, and assist workers in solving work-related problems.
- Maintain departmental supplies, tools, and equipment, and order as necessary.
- Ensure the completion of all required production paperwork, records, and documentation, such as time cards and quality records.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety regulations.
- Coordinate operations and activities within or between departments by conferring with other supervisors.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor work and ensure operators conform to production or processing standards by observing gauges, dials, and other indicators.
- Conduct employee training on equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign training to experienced workers.
- Conduct employee probationary and eight-month performance reviews.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage Lead Technicians and Manufacturing Technicians.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or HSED/GED equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to learn new skills as needed.
- One to two years of training required.
