Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our dry cleaning plant. This role is responsible for managing the workflow from dry cleaning and wet cleaning through pressing, bagging, and final preparation. The ideal candidate will have a background in production or manufacturing supervision and possess strong leadership and organizational skills. Experience in laundry or dry cleaning is a plus.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our dry cleaning plant. This role is responsible for managing the workflow from dry cleaning and wet cleaning through pressing, bagging, and final preparation. The ideal candidate will have a background in production or manufacturing supervision and possess strong leadership and organizational skills. Experience in laundry or dry cleaning is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of 6–12 production staff across cleaning, pressing, and packaging areas
  • Ensure efficient flow of garments and textiles through each stage of production
  • Manage employee schedules, approve time off requests, and support performance management
  • Monitor daily production levels and implement systems to track and improve efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the department
  • Oversee and maintain inventory of all production-related supplies and ensure timely restocking
  • Understand and assist with the operation of mechanical equipment, conveyors, and cleaning machines; training provided for specific systems
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Communicate regularly with the General Manager on performance metrics, challenges, and personnel updates

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in laundry, dry cleaning, or textile services preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, physically demanding environments
  • Basic mechanical or technical aptitude; willing to learn plant-specific systems
  • Proficiency in using basic software (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling tools) a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
  • Comfortable working in a warm and active production environment
