Job Description

IKO South Inc., located in Clay Hill, Florida, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. This role reports to the Production Manager and involves overseeing safety, quality, production, and personnel on the shift to meet targets and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure safety and efficiency in work practices, complying with regulations and company policies.
  2. Manage the development, performance, and supervision of shift personnel to maintain quality and increase production.
  3. Plan and manage production scheduling.
  4. Provide leadership, including discipline and performance management.
  5. Improve processes using lean tools and maintain documentation.
  6. Identify training needs, coach, and motivate employees.
  7. Conduct training, cross-training, and employee development activities.
  8. Ensure safety, production, and quality procedures are followed and employees are trained accordingly.
  9. Conduct safety inspections and weekly meetings to communicate safety, quality, and production updates.
  10. Evaluate team performance and skill development progress.
  11. Develop and implement measures to improve methods, equipment, and quality.
  12. Operate within SOPs and quality procedures.
  13. Resolve production issues efficiently and assist with quality problems.
  14. Investigate safety near-misses, accidents, and hazards, and prepare reports.
  15. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  16. Coordinate with other supervisors for consistency.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary degree/diploma in industrial technology, engineering, business administration, or management preferred.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience in high-speed, continuous processes being an asset.
  3. Experience with TQM, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  4. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical areas.
  5. Leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
  6. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  7. Proven ability to enhance operations through employee engagement and team building.
  8. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  9. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Workday is an asset.
