ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and optimize daily production for Rosewood’s South Texas asset, with an emphasis on new and existing horizontal wells producing on gas lift, rod pump, jet pump, and plunger lift
  • Work closely with the full asset team: field personnel, reservoir, drilling, & completions engineers, geology, land, and regulatory teams
  • Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field and development teams
  • Create monthly outlook reports detailing production variances and provide forward looking guidance
  • Monitor and optimize LOE spending
  • Support the field operations team to optimize base production and reduce downtime
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems
  • Track and analyze lift failures to formulate and implement recommendations for preventive maintenance and run-time improvement
  • Create AFE’s and procedures for workovers and recompletions
  • Coordinate with Production & Construction Superintendent and service providers to execute workover operations
  • Monitor initial flowback and recommend choke settings
  • Optimize chemical programs treating scale, corrosion, H2S, etc.
  • Assist with facility and pipeline design and sizing
  • Coordinate with field team and outside environmental consultants to track and reduce emissions
  • Manage production software (currently IFS Merrick) and assist with troubleshooting
  • Update wellbore diagrams with workover history, downhole changes
  • Assist Accounting team with production allocations, production reporting, etc.
  • Review and approve production related invoices
  • Demonstrate Health, Safety & Environmental leadership
  • Additional projects as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • At least five (5) years of oil and gas experience

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrated work experience in the areas of artificial lift, production optimization, workover operations, facilities design, and running project economics
  • Proficient computer skills with an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Experience utilizing industry engineering software packages such as IFS Merrick, Rod Star, ARIES, ComboCurve, WellEZ, ProMax, SCADA systems and other nodal analysis software a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for interfacing with other engineers, company management, field personnel, and external regulatory agencies
  • Able to work well within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Demonstrate and promote ethical behavior
  • Resourceful and highly motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Detail oriented
