Location: Hybrid in New York (Mon-Thurs on-site)

Base Salary: $85,000-$90,000 depending on experience

The Planet Group's New York based law firm is seeking a Direct-Hire Production Designer to join their team.

Production Designer Responsibilities

  • Provides hands-on design and production work for corporate collateral using the full suite of Adobe software, as well as Word, PPT, Visio and new media.
  • Collaborates with a diverse group of department clients on design objectives, adapting communication style accordingly and demonstrating understanding of project scope including purpose, components, target audience, medium, stakeholders and turnaround time.
  • Works effectively as part of a team towards meeting design, production and operational goals as directed by the Sr. Graphics Manager.

Production Designer Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience across media: print, web and evolving new media in a PC environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of both traditional and digital print production requirements, and ability to interface with printing professionals.
  • Expertise in technical file requirements of new media (web, e-mail, interactive) and ability to interact with IT.
  • Expert proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks.
  • Expert proficiency in PowerPoint, Visio and Word.
  • Availability for evening and weekend overtime work.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written and visual) and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CSS, HTML and Action Scripts/ J Query, Java Script preferred.
  • Proficiency in video editing/production and relevant software (After Effects, Final Cut, etc.) preferred.
  • Studio-quality portrait-retouching skills preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising design, graphic design, visual design or communications design preferred.
