Location: Marlborough, MA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — Onsite with some remote schedule flexibility

Contract Details:

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: ~3 months
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay Range: $36.00 – $38.50 per hour

Job Summary

This hybrid role combines production planning and data analytics to support business operations in a fast-paced medical technology environment. The Production Planner will work cross-functionally to generate actionable insights and maintain production workflows using tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives on deadlines, and has a background in supply chain and data reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize operational data for business analysis
  • Analyze sales forecasts for direct sales materials
  • Generate production schedules and raw material requirements
  • Release production work orders to manufacturing teams
  • Evaluate sales performance and establish production and QC priorities
  • Maintain inventory levels within targeted thresholds
  • Support new product transfers from R&D to manufacturing
  • Communicate work order status and inventory metrics to internal teams
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance
  • Maintain work center schedules and communicate capacity limits

Required Experience

  • 2–5 years of related professional experience
  • Strong background in both computer science and supply chain
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • CPIM Certification
  • Experience in cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting

Required Skills

  • SQL, Python, and Power BI for data reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Oracle systems
  • Working knowledge of MRP2 and inventory control systems
  • Understanding of material master maintenance, BOMs, routings, and work centers

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data modeling

Additional Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Deadline-driven with excellent organizational capabilities
